    wp-dapp: Testing Beneficiaries Function.

This is a test post hopefully confirming the adding and removing of various beneficiaries functions.

Things are moving along. Now I’m actually worried about breaking stuff.

The first thing I do in the morning is dive into this plugin until I have to go off and do my day job and its the first thing I do until I hit the sack. I really do love this stuff.

    Anyway.

There are two ways to add beneficiaries right now. Either in the settings page or on the post.

Settings page lets you enable a default user account from 1% to 10%. DiggnDeeper.com is set at 1% by default, which can be unchecked or changed to another default account.

Post Meta Box gives you the ability add one or more additional beneficiaries and the percentage for each one.

I hate that I have to publish tests, but I don’t know of any other way to test certain things. I am trying to minimize them. In this case, at least I this makes a decent update.

This is the basic plugin and should have simple publish to Hive, with beneficiary options, being tested now. I purposely left the self voting option out for now as much for safety as anything, but I’ve been scratching my head as to whether or not I will put it in there any time soon.

Once this is fully ironed out, I will start working on feature releases. I’ll explain my thoughts and plans on those features soon, but I certainly have a plenty of thoughts about that.

I delegated 1k of HP to @keychain as an appreciation to the work done there. Its not much, but my appreciation certainly is.

    wp-dapp is ALIVE!!

    I’m super stoked.

Imagine holding a platform that serves censorship-proof content, provides governance structures for building communities and projects, and offers comprehensive commerce solutions—all in one place.

Introducing wp-dapp: WordPress Web3 Syndication Plugin

We are living in possibly the most transformative time in humanity—so far. Built upon countless foundational layers, we owe immense gratitude to all who have contributed.

After what feels like an eternity of learning and contemplation, I finally have a tangible tool that posts to Hive from WordPress. It’s janky and simple at the moment, but it works.

Using WordPress as a Hive front end could be a genuine superpower. Imagine a platform that serves censorship-proof content in unique ways, provides governance structures for communities and projects, and offers comprehensive commerce solutions.

Hive Keychain integration is an amazing feature. Endless thanks to all the developers who made it available. I can even add them as beneficiaries to my content from WordPress!

The test site is live at dapp.diggndeeper.com (from where I’m writing this post!). I’m currently using GitHub for development and plan to eventually list it on WordPress.org.

I’m eager to set up a Witness Node and I may consider running an application server as I implement additional features.

This past week was a grind. Now, I’m reviewing everything, compiling this update, and figuring out the next steps. It’s funny—I feel like this project and I are newborns, just coming to life and trying to stand up, lol.

The project page has been up for quite a while and needs some work, so that’s my next task. Then I can post from there! I can finally start building out my site with fully open-source and decentralized foundations. I’ve been contemplating this for a long time and have held back content until I could publish to Hive natively with WordPress as my front end.

The next, and perhaps final, hurdle to full decentralization is DNS. That’s where exploration into mesh networks comes into play. I have plans for that too.

I plan to dedicate the rest of my life to working diligently on this. I love this stuff.

What an amazing time to be alive.

    Stay tuned!

I’m very excited that I am finally making progress on this WordPress as a Hive front end idea.

Expect a few more of these first experimental “Hello World” posts as I work things out and shortly I’ll start putting out more useful information.

    Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m stoked.
